Cardiac Catheterization Lab

The cardiac catheterization lab (CCL) is both a diagnostic and interventional facility. The CCL provides the technology and highly trained staff to perform cardiovascular; invasive radiological; endovascular & peripheral vascular (blood vessel/circulatory) procedures.
Over the past 30 years the CCL has evolved into a cost effective approach to expedient diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease (coronary artery blockages) or neurovascular disease (carotid artery narrowing or blockages), that can cause strokes; renal artery narrowing/ blockages, which often causes malignant hypertension; peripheral artery disease (lower extremities-legs/ feet), which left untreated, could lead to amputation.
A dedicated staff with more than 60 years combined experience and a state of the art laboratory provide the best vascular care in Eastern Arkansas. All of our efforts are patient-centered and technically sound. We not only provide assistance to cardiologists, but also radiologists and surgeons, in minimally invasive procedures.
We provide both out-patient and in-patient services. Before any procedure is begun, patients and their families are educated on the upcoming process and encouraged to ask questions about their care.
We are a knowledgeable, dedicated and compassionate healthcare team. Some of the procedures performed are coronary angiography; peripheral & endovascular angiography (angioplasty or stenting, if needed); Khyphoplasty (repair of fractured vertebra); Renal angioplasty or stenting; Atherectomy (rotational ‘drill’ opening’) of calcified leg arteries; Uterine Fibroid Embolization (process to shrink painful fibroids in women)
Today, most of these procedures require only a tiny needle stick and recovery time is much quicker.
