Crittenden Regional Hospital Kicks Off Annual Employee Giving Campaign

Crittenden Regional Hospital has kicked off Beyond the Mission, its 2010 employee giving campaign, which raises funds for the Crittenden Regional Hospital Foundation.
Beyond the Mission is an internal giving campaign hosted by the Foundation to raise funds for Crittenden Regional Hospital programs and capital projects that benefit patients and employees. Last year’s campaign saw a 20 percent increase in dollars pledged from 2008 and totaled more than $34,500 raised for the hospital.
“We were so thrilled by the results of last year’s employee giving campaign and by the kindness exhibited by our employees through their gifts to the Crittenden Regional Hospital Foundation,” said Chris Chastain, executive director of the Foundation. “I’m confident this year’s campaign will prove even more successful than the last and that the Foundation will be able to support even more programs for the hospital through gifts made by our generous staff.”
Funds raised through Beyond the Mission will support programs, such as the Employee Crisis Fund and Patient Assistance Fund, and enabled the hospital to provide immediate assistance for those in need. Last year’s gifts supported a grant for Crittenden Regional Hospital’s Home Health Care and aided 17 patients through the Patient Assistance Fund.
Employees will receive information throughout the week related to the campaign, outlining how gifts will be used to benefit the hospital. In addition, several events will take place throughout the campaign week to encourage participation.
“Employee support has been a cornerstone of this hospital since it opened its doors in 1951,” Chastain said. “Our leadership and employees are committed to doing their part to ensure Crittenden Regional Hospital’s success, and this campaign is yet another way for them to help us fulfill the mission of the hospital through the Foundation.”
The Foundation exists as an inspiration to the people of Crittenden County in sustaining the hospital’s mission. It also provides an array of giving and volunteer opportunities by which individuals and corporations can play an active role in the betterment of the hospital.
