Patient Rehabilitation Services

Crittenden Regional Hospital's Rehabilitation Services is dedicated to serving individuals who have suffered a debilitating injury or illness and who need comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services to maximize their potential to restore functional independence. To promote admission of appropriate patients, a free pre-admission screening is provided to all referred patients by one of the members of the team. The unit's Medical Director is responsible for authorizing a patient's admission to the program.

Services are provided by an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals including but not limited to:

  • Physician
  • Nursing
  • Physical Therapist
  • Speech Therapist
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Social Worker

Family members are also an integral part of our team and are encouraged to participate from the initial assessment through the daily treatment regimen, discharged planning and post inpatient phases.

The following diagnoses may result in the need for acute rehabilitation:

  • Stroke
  • Congenital Deformities
  • Major Multiple Trauma
  • Brain Injury
  • Amputation
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Orthopedic Dysfunction
  • Neurological disorders including:
    • Multiple Sclerosis
    • Polyneuropathy
    • Muscular Dystrophy
    • Parkinson's
    • Guillain Barre'

The goal is to help patient's achieve an optimum level of recovery while providing a cost effective outcomes. Crittenden Regional's Rehab Services is accredited by JCAHO.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

It can seem like a long road back when recovering from a disabling injury or illness. When people realize the potential of tomorrow, they are motivated to work harder toward their goals, whether it is to return to work, a favorite activity or just their daily routine. In Crittenden Regional's Outpatient Rehab Program, the focus is always on helping individuals return to their prior roles and activities of daily life. With skilled and experienced clinicians, including physical, occupational and speech therapists, Outpatient Rehab strives to improve people's ability to function and care for themselves again. Physical therapists work with patients to help decrease pain and improve strength, endurance and balance. Occupational therapists work with patients to improve coordination and fine motor activities. Speech therapists help those with communication or swallowing disorders regain function in these areas.

WorkTeam Health Program

The WorkTeam goal is to be the medical gatekeeper for your business. It provides three major components to ensure that you have both a healthy employee and a healthy bottom line.

24/7 Care

With your company's WorkTeam Card, your injured employee is put on the Fast Track through Crittenden Regional's Emergency Department to minimize the costs and lost time associated with a Worker's Compensation injury. With this service being available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you will never have to make a decision as to which facility to go to. WorkTeam will work closely with employers and their representatives in the evaluation, treatment and authorization of workplace injuries. Its staff will keep you informed by personally calling with exam results promptly after the initial visit and/or by faxing status reports after subsequent visits. WorkTeam welcomes your calls at anytime during the treatment process to discuss the status or treatment plan of your injured workers.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Physical and occupational therapy and industrial rehabilitation services, including Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE's) by a specially certified physical therapist, are also available. WorkTeam staff is certified to perform Job Site Analyses, Post Offer Screens and Ergonomic Assessments.
