Professional Health Education Programs

Continuing Education Credit (CEU) for health care professionals can be obtained at CRH through the UAMS Rural Hospital Program. Through this unique program, professionals can receive and participate in technology-based education. Through the Interactive Television System, professionals can access information and programming from the state's leading health experts.

  • Through the Rural Hospital Program, classes offering credit for nurses, doctors, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, and respiratory technicians are provided at the Glenn P. Schoettle Medical Education Center.
  • Programs sponsored by the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at UAMS are offered throughout the year. These programs carry CME, nursing and pharmacy credit.
  • Le Bonheur Pediatric Grand Rounds provide continuing education offerings for physicians and nurses.

Geriatric Grand Rounds are offered to encourage and promote continuing medical education within the field of Geriatrics by increasing medical knowledge of geriatric-related issues through up-to-date instructional techniques in an effort to improve physician performance within the clinical and/or basic science setting.
